I find writing about myself very difficult and seeing as I work in Information Security, I am always dubious about what I put out there, but it's nice to talk into the void.
The name landsi is also derived from way back when autocorrect on your Nokia 3310 was a bit wonky, it somehow appeared if you put an I after typing James so I kept it. I don't know why, it's about 25 years old now.
Things that I do
I work in infosec/cyber security as a consultant in the private sector. It's okay but I've grown to hate technology and sort of wish I was doing something else with my life. It's an awful industry to be in right now.
I try and keep myself fit and healthy by getting in the gym or getting out running. It does wonders for my brain, more than anything.
I have a love for aeroplanes and aviation, that's probably my passion. I started my working life as an aircraft engineer. I do a lot of flight simming because I'm too poor to get a pilots license. I'm the sort of guy who thinks about the pilots dropping dead on any flight I get on, and being fairly confident that I could land the plane successfully and be named a hero.
I play guitar, or did, I guess. I haven't touched it in an age. My band is on Spotify, I'll maybe link that someday.
Other than that, I mostly play video games, hang with my wife and our cats and enjoy the odd vice here and there.
I love travel but I don't get to do much of it, but I'm hoping to fix that in the very near future.
